About

Go for Good starts and finishes at Bales Gym - which you can access through the NORTH entrance, NORTH of the Stadium, and before you get to Mountain City.

 

Go for Good 2025 will benefit Hays High School Theatre Booster Club.

The Theatre Booster Club is made up of parents, grandparents, friends, family, alumni and community members who are passionate about theatre and want to support the award-winning theatre programs at Hays High School.

Some of the support we use our funds towards are:

  • Providing cast meals for rehearsals and shows
  • Providing celebrations and events for theatre students (like Yule Ball and Dram Prom)
  • Funding annual scholarships for graduating HHS senior theatre students

Through your support, we are able to provide assistance to Theatre Director Lory Stewart and Theatre Tech Director Zach DeSutter in ways that have a direct impact on the students participating in the HHS Theatre Department classes and programs.

Inflatable Costume Scramble!  This will be a scramble through the parking lot, about a half K, with participants dressed in their own inflatable costumes! Get your camera ready, this is sure to be a hoot!

DOG and STROLLER are add ons - bibs only - and mean a bib will be assigned to your dog or your stroller. Owner must register for the event as a participant in the 5K.

NOTE FOR VIRTUAL: If you need your packet shipped, please Venmo $5 to @fortheloveofgo and indicate in the comments what the funds are for. Packets will be shipped at the conclusion of the event.

There is plenty of parking!

Additional Info

Extra shirts are ordered conservatively so as not to expend funds on shirts that could go to the cause.  If having a shirt is important to you, please register by Shirt Guarantee Deadline, January 1.

Races start and finish in the parking lot, Bales Gym, at the address listed at the top of this page, last parking lot before Mountain City.

We are Rain or Shine, Hot or Cold. 

5K is chip timed.

Online Early Registration will close 4 days before race day. Late registration is available during stated Packet Pickup times above.

If you register after early registration closes, you are considered late registration and you can still sign up online!  When you get to packet pickup or race morning, follow the signs for Late Registration.

Late Registration closes 15 minutes before race start time.

No refunds, but you may transfer your registration to another person.

Packets may be picked up by another person.

We allow late starts up to 10 minutes after start time. If you are later than that and you choose to start, note that you may not have support, coverage, or directional markings, and you will not be timed - with love!

All Registration Changes must be handled on race morning with the timing company.

If offered, Packets to be shipped will be shipped following the close of the race.

All packets not retrieved by race start time will be considered donations.
