Join us for this first-ever 5K/10K in Maxwell, Texas! We'll have lots of water stations and ice on this out-and-back course! Route is paved for a short portion at the beginning and end, unpaved for the majority of the 5k and 10k.
We are a small community located between San Marcos and Lockhart. In June of 2022 we lost two firefighters in the line of duty; Assistant Chief Jonathon Coco and Firefighter Hunter Coco. The two were brothers that went on a call together and died on scene of a motor vehicle collision.
When this incident occurred, we had a lot of help from a lot of good people, more specifically, Texas Firewalkers. Texas Firewalkers fed and served us right after the event, during the funeral service for the boys and even molded, manufactured and hand-delivered customized challenge coins in memory of our boys. So, with all the good they did for us we want to host a memorial 5k/10k in the boy's honor where any profit made would go directly to Texas Firewalkers as they run solely on fundraisers and donations to help people like us.
