About This Event
Both chip timed races start and finish at Spicewood Vineyards and Winery in Spicewood, TX off of Hwy 71 about 40 mins west of Austin and 90 min north of San Antonio. They run along a challenging out and back course along scenic farm roads in Burnet County. There will be 3 fully stocked water stops along the course that will be hit twice (6 stops) each for the 1/2 Marathon and 2 water stops hit twice (4 stops) each for the 10K. Post race festivities include wine tasting and delicious catered post race food conducive to fine wine tasting. All runners receive a technical shirt and etched wine glass with race logo, and delicious food. This is a BIG bang for the buck! Fees (no refunds): 10K- $65 through 11-04-10, $75 through 11-20-09, $85 after that and $95 on race day. Half Marathon- $70 through 11-04-10, $80 through 11-20-10, $90 after that and $100 on race day. Awards for both races
1st place O/A and Master- Wine and plaque. Top 3- Wine and Medal to AG winner and medal to top 3- 29 and under, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and up.
Special Santa Claus (Male) and Elf (Female) Division
You must make an effort to look the part. Just wearing a cap wont cut it. Fastest in each group wins plaque and wine. Best costume wins plaque and wine. Judges will be incognito mixed among the group. Wine will be awarded for top three in each race male /female. ‘TIS THE SEASON TO GET INTO THE SPIRIT!!!!
Benefitting Toys for Tots
Please be in the Christmas spirit and help us in supporting the Marine’s Toys for Tots by bringing a montary dontation or giving a gently used or new toy to Spicewood Vineyards on Dec 5th. We will have drop boxes available at the start / finish area. Thank you!

Positions available for packet stuffing, packet pick up in Austin, SA, or the Vineyard, water stops, and start / finish area.
Directions from Austin
Directions from Austin. The vineyard and winery are located about 35 miles north west of Austin near the community of Spicewood. Take State Highway 71 West from Austin to Spicewood. Cross Lake Travis/Pedernales River and continue on Hwy 71 for approximately 8 miles. Pass through an intersection with a flashing yellow light and an Exxon station, ¸ mile further cross Sycamore Creek and turn left (south) on to Burnet County Road 408. Go approximately 7/10 mile and take your first right on to Burnet County Road 409. Continue on Burnet County Road 409 for 1 1/2 miles to the vineyard, and take the left fork. The winery building and space for parking are on the right.

Directions from San Antonio. Take U. S. Highway 281 north to State Highway 71. Turn east toward Austin. County Road 408 is approximately 8 miles from the intersection of Highways 281 and 71. Cross Cypress Creek and take an immediate right (south) on Burnet County Road 408. Go approximately 7/10 miles and turn right on Burnet County Road 409. Go 1 1/2 miles to the vineyard, and take the left fork. The winery building and space for parking are on the right.
